The Masn Who Laughs

This is my review on The Man Who Laughs from the distassnt future year to King David of 1928 (100 years before Robotech season 2)

its based on a book by victor hugo who hates sequels and kills everyone off at the end

until disney makes a sequel with the dead guys have a kid who goes on an adventure

i saw this b4 and its good

its directed by Paul Leni who dids Waxworks\The Cat and the Canary

the design of the guy in here was what inspired The Joker in Batman and much of the things in here inspired the Universal Monsters

after title  logo and credits we get 1600s sovietengland and king games 2 electric boogaloo is in bed without men and his evil jester comes in from a secret pasasage in a statue

he tells the king this guy was captured andthe king follows hiom in the secret passages in the castleto show a SCUZZY GUY  in chains

he refised to kiss the kings had,(wjho knows where its been) and was called a rebel in exile

he came back to find his son and the king has himcaptive sio her drops to his knees to beg

the kigs sez a gypsy cut up the kids face into a clascow smile  to lauigh at his foolish dad forever

the rebvel lunges and bites the kings neck and tears it open as blood blaasts out and the guands shank him dead

jk although thats what should happen

also forcing people to exprtess something they dont consent to is unAmeruican and iis the reason We The POeople dumped that comme cesspoole of soviet england

oh and the jester sold the boy to gypsies to be b0ned oprt wq/e and the king sends the dad to the iron maiden as he prays for The Lord to help his son

1 guy sez to brting the boy back but is beat up and the boat leaves but 1 guy sez the kingsold him to them

so the boy roams the snoy wastelaands f i think soviet xcanada and theres corpses hanging on poles like thart violence jaxck chapter

hes got a scarf tio cover his mouth and comes across a dead chick in tyhe snow hholding a live baby and he carrys it onward

he comes across ursis thee phil0osopjer tio tells his dog "quyiet homo!" cuz its named homo the wo,.ff

in the 1800s that was normal, but npoweadays it sounds likre a rob sxhnieder fuilm

so ursus helps the boy gwynp0lainbe or g boy and the baby whos blind

he thinks  the boiy is laughing buyt  his mouth is cut into a smile and ursus is horriified by what the gypsies did to im

at leasty the didnt cut off his parts

so ursus cares for the boy who years later is an actir callee the laughing man like ghost in the shell and the blind girl is dea wjho iss blonde with twisted syster hair and  likes g boy

they go around in a cart wagon asndcome to a voillage with an add for hik i jan 29 1690

1 guy with an eye patcxh butusing it to keep his eye in night vision looks nside and wants to use him in a freak show

later in southwark fair funded by the queen is a lot of people having fun and an elephant and cooking but not together and a freak show and then the laughtibgf man comes and eyepatcxh sends a  message to the dutchess

so g boy likes dea and smells her hair like hes a devolved irishman andursus tells him to be married b4 they leace so hes not so lovesick

g boy backs off from her when ursus talks of marriage annd she nktices and he ses he dont got the right to love her  but she  loves himand wants to marry him

the people cheer for him and he's disgruntled at their laughs for him being like a clown

btw  conrad does great acting with a crippled face, keeping that twsaited simle but showingexpression is good sklill

so the messenger goers to the dutchess and the jester is nowe as rigt rank guy wjo  oytlived the lusty king andlets messenger in

dutchess is platyed by olga whjo looks like madonna buit not a WHQRE but takes a bath as messenger looks in da key hoe and wishing it was a butt hole

the letter sezthe son of the iron maidened guy is alive andjuseter reads it as  mesdsenger looks in the bathing blonde

jester comes in and fakes  looking away at her in a towel but this is europe so they are ok with nude scxenes

jester reads an invite from da queen to a concert and she dont wanna go and shes gay for sp,er guy shges engaged to

jester tries to look up her dress and she kicks him away like its an anime and a monkey throws am apple art him and he goes to j=rk off on the florr

jester tells trhe quyeen that dutches isnt there anbd her bf  loks likee an inbrted weird al yankovic

inbred weird al goes to get her andjester shows queeen the letter saying g boy is alive and shes glad

i didnt know mary queenor scots or w/e wwas a plus size woman

jester wants as reward but she sez if he faiils he;'d get the iron lady

so dutchess goes to the fair to party and have fun wiith the commoners and some guys talk with eyepatch about the letter he sent to the dutchess

they overpower him and takjerr him to the torture chambeer like its the ussr or england

then theres a  show for g boy and he has issues being disfuigured like a guy who's  b0ner was bit off at a nude beach

dea ciomforts  him with how he makes people laugh and smile and feels his face and threy have a loving moment

dutches iis  gonna see da  man weho laffs but a masked dude tels getr to get her thicc a55 back to da quyeen who's b--chin out

tthen some commoners fight him cuxz they wanna b0ne the dutchess and she goes off to a cart and to the royal psalace

in it is a buncxha dinks  being boring and the fair was more fun sannd duitchess comes over in a dress that makes her hips  look like a chick on the learning channel

sshe meets the queen who's a huge fata55 like on the learning chabnnel and jerster sez hes got her back to the dutchess

1 musician goes in a dooir and his violin brewaks as hes  holding it sidewatys

inbred al whines of her being with commoners and she wants to see the laughing man

then sshes  in the  shed or w/e this play is taking place anbd its kinda german expressionist like Der Golem but not full caligari

g boy is made up by dea and he helps topo and is yold the dutchess is watching

ursus spazzes out and  gets dressed and tells the audience he wrote the plaY AND ITS BETTER THAN SHAPKES[EWRA, WHICH MEANS ITS NOT F-=KIN GHEI

the play hhas a guy in a bull head costume and the g boy comming out and clownsd and he tajkes off his face to shjow an f'd grin and  the  dutchess looks grossed out or something at his face

he looks  like a psycho but is acctually a nice guy

i think the duitchess is getting aroused and like most europeans, has weird fetioshes

those germ,snss, they make the best silent films, and the worxt adult films

unless you like poop

affter da play ursus sez the dutchess was hot and they ad a suiccess  and dea asks if she was beautiful

a girl who dont mind  asking guys if othert chix are hot? good find.

also the dutchess looks more alluring where as the dea looks more weholesomer

like greta garbo and lillian girl

or donna douglass and maxi mounds

so 1 cluwn sez g boy is lucky to not take offf his look and thiss f's him up

so he thinks cuz a woman likes  his  looks and saw it, he can marry dea, but some people hsave weird fetioshes, esp the  high statuis guys

g boy goes outand that homo the wolf,  which sounds like a furry name, follows him but he tellls it ti stast wuith dea

dea is awake and its nigt so she has the edge and notices g boy auint there and hes in the cart to the palace

she finds the note from the dutchess and smells it, hmm, spurm

she goes out and did they have lights and lamps in 1690?

she pets homo the wolf whuich is the sonic character for pride of lgtbqia2+map and g mo goes in to the dutchessres room and shes in lingeree which tthey TOTALLY had in the 17tgh cwentury

she co,ers ionto him and hes kinda creeped oyt and smooches his cloth covered face b4 puilling it off and gettingh closer

HE RESISTS SPASTICALLY ANMD a bell rings aand a wall has a  thing come in through a spin opening and its a scroll that sez shes to marry the heir of the guy who got iron maidened and its the laughing man

also her marriage is called off to inbred weird aal and she laughs as g boy cerys

then she goes kinda spaazzy and he runs out and tells homo she laughed at him like the others

he finds dea with the  note and asleep and he tears up da note and sahe wakes up and he puts her hands on his f;d mouth

they hug and he carries her, which is weird as he struggled with dutchess, and goes in

then the regents forces come tyo arrest g boy andhes cuddling with dea and they take him off as he sez not to tell her

the head regent force looks like the bad guy in pocaHAUNTUS

URSUS SEZ G BOY HAS BUSINESS AT THE INN AND tells his men not to tell dea her bf got arrested

donty you need a reasonto be arrested? like a charge? this isnt korea where the lock you up for accusations agaiunst their god

ursus is tod those who go in there dont come out and he waits until a buncxha guyts and a coffin go by

he comes home and tells his droogs da shows over and its the buymmer moment in the film

jester sez eyepattch bit it in jail abnd his coerced confession proved g boy is the guys son

queen sez dutchess has to marry a clown to keep her fortyune and hes gonna be  ade a peer in the housse of lords

but peers are for queers

so ursus cant tell dea g boy bit it and she thinks its time for his show

more sadmnerss! wwas victor hugo emo? at least go nagai nad humor! dudes j-rkin off and chicks getting naked and sh-ttimng all over@!

ursrs has the clowns yell to fake g boy beingthere and having a crowd

theres synchronized sound on here with them saying gwuynplaine like win blaine and rusrs sez the crowd loves him and ursus goes on and gives his show

he looks like one of the 3 stooghes buyt motre decrodded, larryu Znd reads his story chaos vanquished that enmdfs in ligt and laughter which sounds like a yugioh card

dea goes onandf they keep up the charade to fake things, which makes me think, will they be paid for this?

so the regents forces come in and say they are banishewd from england andg boy is ded

although how would they handle g bioys parts? as in in the play, not on his crotch

she hears and slowly fallss over and the next day, g lord is in a powdered wuig and fancy suit like the non lusty costume for iny in soulcalibur 2

the clown trop is going to tghe docks to go to america or w/e  asnd as the cart of  g lord and dea go by they touch andget stick like its a d0ng in a small burr so g loerd has to walk and covers hius mouyth

imagine if he sucked a dude? how would thar work?

g lord crys anddea scrteams as jestyer is taking her out to sodomize and she blacksa out asa they get outside

g lord  tells off thos ec-ck asuckers and rejects the queen and her demands of marrying that bimbo

1 indentured servant i mean monarchist sez "the queen made you a lord! you must honor her comand~" but he's like "the queen made me a lord, but 2st God made me a man"

no longer will he be subserviant to the regent! he will find zors battklefortress and the protoculture matricx on board! and woe to anyone who stands in his way!

he's had enough of their brittish cr-p and goes but dutchess sez to seibe him for defying the regent and he books it

so the guards catch g lord and bring hiom back but he shoves em on their spurm filled butts and makes a break for it

he jumps out a window and climbs dowen a plant covered wall then riuns thrtough this gemzn expressionsit townas the people see the laughing man is back

the crowd of peope follows him like hes a celeb in the human realm or ningen kai and he sees tythe threatre shed is cloed so he asks a guy whre dea is

hes told the docks on the way to exile and the regents forces arrive and theres dudes with torches like frankenmstein

the people hep him  climb the ghate and climbs the  hourses, which i;m not sure can hold him

isnt this where murders in the rue morgue got the roof top chase with the ape?

and both got it from claigari with also had conrad

he ssword fights some guy and ends him as he falls but hes gonna be ok, he just needs soem rest, theres a hospital planet  nearby

so hes trapped in ther tower and men are comming at him and he jumps a like 10 foot thing to the other bulding and makes it barely and hangs on

he nearly falls and there as good camera zoom to the corwd and he climbs backl up and got heolp from the townsmen

he runs around the alleys and the regents forces  herad for the docks and g lord made it there as the dea is sick and the boat left

he calls for dea and the homoe hears and barx anmd jumps in the water and g lod yells HOMO!

the regents forces reach the docks and search and he jacks a boat and i think the homo bites the jesterunder the jaw and they fall ijn the water and he goes under as the homo swims off

so g lord makes it in the boat and reunitewws with dea and ursus and the homoe who killed the jester makes it back on and they are happy and sail off to a new adventure like in lord of the rings

although like clockwork orange, in the book theres another chapter where she bitesit of sickness and he jumps in the sea to suicide cuz victor  hugo hates people being alive

the end

that was good

a qualityy film and one of the later silent films

kinda like ristar or alien soldier on sega genesis in 1995

it holds up and has good feel and good pacing and style

it goes by well and has nice flow and dont drag

its well acted, esp by veidt whom shows such emotion with only his eyes and with his moputh being devolved

the chicks worked well and the ursus is kinda over the top but it works

the jester is slimy and evil and the queen is a fat load

dutchess is played well as a europeaness who has a weird fetish so that checks out and isn't evil, just kinda vbratty

like an ojou sama from anime

i liked it and the setting of germanic expressionism fits well kn this period peice and the ending with the chase  is like in the 25 phantom of the opera

itsa a well made film and pul leni does well in his silent style

for The Man Who Laughs 2 i want it to be about the dsutchess who has reflected on the man who laugh's words and sees the error of her ways, so she trains with theroyal fencer and some ninja visiting from japan and becomes a konoichi or female ninja and goes out at night in a skimpy leather outfit and fights against the regent and her evil, also she uses  her influence to aid the people oppressed by the queen and starts an uprising to overtthrtow her, but she activates her toyal power, and devolves into a dragonic creature but like a centipede dragon with lobster claws and dragonfly wings and goes to take out all those against her, so  yo use your ninja skills and magic to stop her and fred england, also its a 16 bit ninja gaiden like game on Sega Genesis, Snes, TG16, Atari Jaguar and GBA where tou play asd the sutchess and do missions to stop the regent the queen like in Phantomn 2040 and some bosses are made of gears and springs like mechs and karakuri dolls and wait, its  like shinobi on sega but  with wall climbing and a grappling hook move.
