i never saw this before but heard its good and is base on a boo i never read
the 1s cut was almost 4 hours like an Abel Gance film but they cut it to 2 45 ish
after logos we see ryan in a bed thing from being in an induced coma and spazzing out
he falls out a bed thing and wiggles around
he finds the other people in this place is dead andhe looks like a caveman
then sees he's in space from the window
he looks around and finds a hologram area with a forest
transmission time to earth is 11 years and he sees a sun thats not ours
he thinks and recalls a probe finding something and his time as a high school teacher talking of the space dots eating the sun
he sez 2 years ago a chick found a stream of infrared liht rom the sun to venus and a probe found dot eating the sun
they got like 30 years and the sun will lose power an kids worry it'll cause half he earth to die
good thing the earth is flat and space is fake and the sun is beyond the firmament
after a montage of him doing stuff to kirss krisstoffercon music we see a woman mee young ryan about someting he wrote on the goldilocks zone being fake
no one in his field want to work with him for his standing his ground and how water isn't needed for other life
he gov wants him and admits the suns dying
eat it you giant yellow c=ck sucker
they have the ryan in a suit looking at the light eaters and analyzes em testing thins to no effect
he finds it a small alien cell as life outside of earth
it died so they test it and find carbon, oxygen and hydrogen
its mostly water
they give of infrared lgiht when they move and hes bummed his 1 idea of lie not needing water is wrong
i mean its only this one, not any other space thing they get him for the thing as hes adamant hes right when others call him wrong an they need that
ryan trys having fun to stave of insanity being the 1 man left in this giant metal d0ng
ryan wonder why the star eaters went to venus when mercury is closer
cuz sailor venus is better than sailor mercury
after ryan and openly black agent having a fun montage in a store to get items
they make a box to check the star eaters and they get loose in the box so they make a bigger box to catch em by putting it on it
he catches the 3 but finds a 4th
they do a jet ride to an ocean thing where he meets these guys asking him quetions
they breed double in 8 days and went to Venus to breed
1 guy want 2 million but he dont know why and they give him top secret clerence to project hail mary
every star in the area is infected so they're sending a guy to that star and the start eater or astrophage is the fuel
theres not enuff fuel for a round trip so the guys sent bite it as kamikaze
its a longshot or Hail Mary play as if they dont they go mad max and eat each other
they get sent in a light speed rescue in comas there an only need a pilot, engineer an scienctist
is this a ritual sacrifice?
he goes over he bodies and dont remember em

imagine if he snapped and started b0ning the bodies?
he dumps em out in space to drift forever and not rot when he could edit em in to puppets and talk to em as he other him
they get to the tau star lie in sailor moon S and the ship stops as gravity ends
he looks at the sun like EVERYone did during the eclipse
then a massive space craft comes by an its like made of gold pipes
he drives around it and thinks somethings heading so sez shields up but theres none
its a small metal thing that does zip so he does a space walk and goes to it
he bounces around on a rope and grabs a thing but drops it
he gets it back and try opening it in the lab
he uses a centrifuge to spin the ship so he fakes gravity
i dont think thats how it works
the item is solid Zenon and he opens it to in its got foreign cr-p
he puts it in containment unit and a thing springs out with spheres on sticks and its a star map of its home far away
he edits it to show his home as you can totally trust this stranger
he puts ropes around the base to crawl over it and sends it back then they have long hard poles link to ryans ship and a tube connect like g1 transformers
he goes through the tube like a long thin b0ner and a tentacle thing jumps by the window
he jumps back but returns and sees a hand holding a tou like him and 1 like his ship
they cant communicate from dierent languages but he seems to think its wants him in his ship
he goes back and the weener tube unlinks and he does stu and it relinks
he gets suited up and opens the airlock to get blasted bak
he goes through the b0ner canal and its some kinda plastic thing
he made a ship like his outta ramen
he creature comes down looking like a yokai
it jumps on the glass, they scream, he hits glass with wrench, sez sorry
they mimic each other and he chex it out to see its got no face like that yokai
they tap glass but he sees its pointing
it gives him a item with jewels in an infiniy loop and wants him to take of his helmet
he sees its 2 things of 8 and O2 so its oxygen
he takes of his helmet adn it giggles
he check something and sees they both had to save their planets
he trys communicating with math and sends a tape measure but its hot in his side
he finds it sees with echolocation and makes a clock with embossed numbers
yokai shows him its clock of a tall thing with spinning things
he gets a microphone and shows a clock and they go ac and both to learn languagge
they get 250 words and their atmospheres would kill each other but he uses Zenon solids and is an engineer
he gets a program to translate the sounds and they are the last survivors
he teaches fist bump andets an ai voice to translate
ryan wants to sleep but yokai thinks he dead as his crew did that and didn't wake up
they watch each other sleep and cant get up if theres danger so they need homies to keep em safe
in flashback hey have a suicide option to go to h-ll on their own terms
1 test ryan used a small bit of astrophage to melt a ton of metal
ryan dont think hes brave but is told he needs 1 to be brave for
yokai comes in a sphere and roughs things up asking questions
he has a rough room mate who gets on his nerves and eats with his a55
the yokai dont know of radiation but the astrophage by yokais shop saved him from it
yokai comes up with orbiting the planet which ryan didn't think of to see why astrophage dont eat the star
ryan shows him holograms like star trek of earth and hows it see if its echolocation?
yokai misses his lover of over 100 years and ryan had 1 who left him as he wasn't realistic and went with mark

in flash bac he talks with gov woman of her german youth choir and the mission
after a song they do a light thing with comic thing
they name the planet adrien as the yokais called rocky and its after yokais lover
they test things and see its the same coming and going so its not reproducing or leaving the planet
he sees theres bacriera on it and yokai sees its life on the planet that eats astrphrage
yokai wants to use a chain to scoop up atmpsphere and if they get too close the ship rips up
yokai finds ryan isn't gonna make it as theres a 1 way trip and not enough fuel to return
hes ok with biting it but yokai is upset and sees he's a hero
he offers enough astrophage to get ryan home at the cost of him getting home 6 years later
ryan crys for the kindness of his last friend as yokai didn' wanna have ryan bite it like his crew
that got me to tear up a bit
this is a good film
plus a pro life message of sacrificing convenience or saving a life
in a flashback a thing blew on the sea base
in the now the ships try harvesting the planet spores like the zentraedi taking the invid lower of life
the sky is on fire like skyire on transformers and yugioh 5DS
he rope the sphere with the cr-p but goes out to get it hanging o the ship
gravity's tear ing in the ship a part lisa
they get out and h planet has green light aurora like the north pole at the kingdom
the ship falls an they poop out the uel tanks to escape
ryans out cold so yokai breaks outta the glass thing and saves him by hitting the controls of the machine to save him
the blowing was misunderestimation how much atrophage, which sees like protoculture in robotech, and it as too much and blew the place
they want ryan to do the mission but he dont wanna an they need an astrophage expert
he dont wanna go on a suicide mission but they say if he dont die there he'd die in 30 years when the sun burns
ryan wakes up an ins the yokai dying as it can't handle our air
he tied to revive him but it dont work and yokai sent 1 last message, save earth, save my world
he trys the space thing hat ends the astrophage
he calls it tauamoeba that dies in nitrogen so he used the zenonite tanks to breed a nitrogen resistant tauamoeba
he cant get the stf to yokais home land as he dont know how and needs yokai to wake up
later yokai revives and is better after sacrificing himself to save him and it very biblical
he hugs his home boy rom outer space and shows he got the cr-p one
he makes him a triangle hat lie how THE have things
yokai gets a model of earth and shows ryan his ship as ryan is in a crystl suit like robotech ii the sentinels with spheris
the ship has sun and gem and string and neon
in a flashbach ryan sez he cant do it and german gov chick sez 1/4th of earth will bite it i he dont and more like double as nations wont work togther
she has him forcily comaed to be shanghaied on against his will
thats big gov, sacriicing people and doing thing with out consent
like billy c and joey b
b4 he goes yokai sez ryan is bravest human he met and only one
yokai dont have a word for good bye and have a dance for that
ryan gives him a thumbs down as he thinks thats good and in roman times thumbs down meant spare him
then we see a flashback to how, wait, the now the zenonite was eaten through by the amoebas so it'll eat though yoakis ship and he'd die horrible
so he sends the cure to earth who dont want him and goes bac to save his yokai homie
wait it was a flashback and the astrphage blew and iced his crew
so he saves yokai and sends the cure to earth and logs of yokai
they beat the astrophage and rya is in a fake earth with his yokai homie in a clear suit to live with him
he's knows the yokai language and yokai got subs
so now they are rebuilding the hail mary to get him home and he's teaching yokai kids through the glas walls
the end
that was quite good
lite but with good heart
i almost cried when his yokai homie revealed he can survive
didn't expect the gov to shanghai him and i hear in the book the german chick was given total immunity from all govs to do whatever she wants to save the world
thas too much power
imagine if cuz they sent him to die, if ryan sent earth a batch of microbes that udnt work and let them all die?
the puppet effects were great and its a cool tyle
it as mostly a yokai puppet with the puppeteer edited out
good bible refs and themes an its a mostly lite movie with good heart
plus some robotech stuff like alien fuel
its pretty tame with a few pg things and some minor swears but The Simpsons is worse
it got pg13 but thats a bit much or this
ryans a good actor in this and the space yokai is pretty well done
glad i saw this, it as a quality film and has hope and joy
Also it takes place in the itant uure year o 2032, around the time o the 3rd Robotech War+
For Project Hail Mary 2 I want ryan to return to earh but find the woman ho sent him has taken over an ules with an iron fist. also the astrophage is by a cosmic evil empire that is weak to light and trying to wipe out the suns for eternal darkness. they send ships to desroy the suns but the yokai planet sends orces to both liberate earth from the woman, an they use the erath weapons power by astophage to fight the darkness empire. Also its a 128 bit Srpg on dreamcast, gamecube, xbox and ps2 in a 3D plane of different levels on a grid like a cube to move starships around to battle the empire an te 1st part is ighting the human empire to free t.
