Momotaro's Divine Sea Warriors

This is my review on Momotaro's Divine Sea Warriors from the distant future year to hattori hanzo who's doing hard time in Jigoku of 1945(The year Go Nagai was born)

Its directed by Mitsuyo Seo who lived like a century and influenced Tezuka with this film

I never saw t but it Japans 1st feature length animated film and a sequel to Momotaro's Sea Eagles which I never saw

its inspired by Fantasia and the American occupiers tried to burn all copies but it survived like the Gelflings in The Dark Crystal

Its based on Momotaro the airy tale Peach Boy from Japanese Lore

after title we get text in Japenese  then title and I think credits

at a great peak in the woods is nature as animal kids walk across farmlands to go to school

the flute is wonderful and the animation is impressive in proper ll screen an god b/w

the sailors are said to return and all these animal people or jujin like in Urotsukidoi and come to greet em

they ring the Temple bell and bow and wait its the kids going to school who were sailors

they go different ways and the Jujin come to greet the monkey one

monkeys kid bro Santa comes by asking what he rode but is told sailors don't ride fighting sips

Santa guesses he rid a fighter plane and cheers boom

farmers tend the soil and the hog one Wankichi comes by to greet em, his rents

wait hes a dog

in the woods birds care for the young and eggs as the bird sailor comes by to feed some

bear sailor plays with bear toys and faints seeing 1 for a sec

mom makes him tea and Harukichi the monkey tells the young of the war

his best exp was flying a plane the 1st time as copilot or a small mission seeing villiagers smiling below him

he offers to bring em flying and sez he trained in a field with a rifle doing robotech moves

Santa goes to the river or pond with Harikici's navy hat but it keeps falling

it blown in the river by wind and flushes away

Santa goes after it as birds fly in the sky, soar up high

1 tells Harukichi Santa fell in the river

Santa goes by whirlpools as the village gathers to rescue him

Harikichi sportacus's in the water then swims as Santa heads for a waterfall

Wanichi on a cliff ties rope on a tree to bungee down and save both bothers

the town pulls em up as Santa saved the hat

I think the one that made the bear faint was Sakata no Kintoki as we see it by a bear model and the Gold Kanji on him

bear boy puts up a wind carp and Harukichis glad his brother is ok

the wind blows his hat away so Santa chases it to soft music as dandelions puff fly

then he recalls the war how 30 mins b4 a hit and is face looks devolved

then we see a beach at the sea with palm trees and rabbits in trees with binnocolars

the east sea force base has a deer moving a ribbon as a rabbit watches

cat people chop down trees for monkeys singing of working together for Japan

and elephants too, which i assume are slaves, sing of how great it is to work

better than being on blue sky tweeting about unions all day

rhinos too? they pull out the stumps

elephants hammer the ground with the stumps and rhinos poke holes in em with horns to build things

1 guy is either a long nose ape or yokai

nice, the Imperial Japan Flag

then planes come by and everyone freaks out then runs/hides

the rabbits watch n binoculars and climb a tower as big plane lands with a peach

kangaroos too? what island is this?

all the beasts run out and they sing of smething new and weird coming

Momotaro comes out a the only human  and the animals are amazed by him being great

the shin ningen and the hyaku ju

i think the sailors from the 1st part are with him and the carry the imperial flag as the animal soldiers put a lot of bags around

So Momotaro's gonna bust the soviets like in 1905 right?

the animals sing of what can the bags hold and say how soldier need food so they offer some to saruno the soldier

the army eats up from the friendly possible gaijin animals

later the animals are in an open air classroom like violence jack oav 3 and a dog with a black eye teaches Japanese

they make animal sounds instead of singing like before and seem devolved

then a bear plays harmonica as saruno weirdly face sings a song to teach sounds

this is like nick cage screaming the alphabet in that vampire movie, but as a song

then we see monkeys doing laundry on crocs as they continue the song

kangaroos hang the prisoners i mean shirts in lines deer walk with em on clotheslines between horns

monkey soldier clean guns and rhino's move barrels

1 guy is drawn by a bird but the mail comes and bear get a Chinese finger trap and 1 gets ice cream with a spring snake inside

bird gets a photo from the birds he helped before who are growing

if this was made today they'd get blown out by the enemy for a sad moment

like starship troopers-

Santa gives his big bro a letter saying he missed him

then we get guys training with sticks lie Son Wukong and a guy with a pet bird

the animals tell Momotaro the enemy is near so he sez investigate

a plane comes in wait i think its leaving

a rabit with a bayonette goes around 

then we see a bear taking off kendo gear from it being hot

Momotaro got no reports from the front as bear sweats like a hollywood producer at recess

a plane lands and 2 guys from the front tell a new force was seen with planes coming from Hiroshima

the plane that landed is all shot up and in the film developing room they process the stuff

they have a plan and Momotaro gives a speech saying remember your training and do it for the home team

tomorrow is the last page in the fight and in the AM they attack

the men prepare parachutes and Momotaro checks em

chefs make bento boxes and the planes are fueled

then in the southern sea with many small islands like stars in the sky

like fallen angels?

the middle one was the most beautiful and was ruled long ago by good king Goa who made people happy with kindness

1 day a black ship came with Invaders

wow, this predicted gaijin

the people went to the king but a White man came from the ship lookin Spanish or French(the bad guys)

he sez they're merchants wanting peaceful trade and wanna be friends

but returning to the ship each night is hard so they want some land and offer treasure like spice from perza, tobacco from egypt(they had that?)jewels from india, necklaces from siam and cotton/lamp/tea rom canton plus gold/silver

they have 1 treasure, a coin and suck up to the king

that long nosed demon is up to evil

so the gaijin put up a jolly roger flag and king asks if his promise is not what he sez

long nose gaijin has a code saying this is his lands home base and theres a battle where the gajin win and take over

man this called it with gaijin

the island once called kingdom of angels on loan from gods was enslaved

its ok, in a few generations they'll assimilate

so just put up with crime, violence and evil for a few decades, and then you die out and your descendants are used to it

so the Heroic Nippon forces get in planes and launch as animals cheer

then a song of crossing the area on strong wings and hoping to return home after a win

it stars raining and its in the plane

then the sun comes out and soldiers have bento

they launch troops at the drop a enemy's fire on em

they land an Momotaro's with em as they ditch chutes and get guns to assemble

the enemy ores on m but they use grenades an 1 turret in a mound base had its gun pulled out by a bear

in the jungle the enemy car drives by and they attack with blades but we see em scream and all and thrust blade w/o contact

these gaijin with playing cards scramble looking skinny and devolved

oh no its the bits

some are fat and they surrender to be used  for weapons theting

J k there was no 731. don't trust maruta

1 frooty leader sez he has no command over all troops so total surrender is impossible

also that rooty gaiin speaks devolve English like eurotrash

the governor has more authority a frooty booty don't but governor let by plane days ago

Momotaro takes over but frootymo only has some authority of some cr-p on devils island

Momotaro wants him to have his men secure it for em but he sez he dont command that much

So Momotaro sez surrender full control to us til govrnor returns

the leaders try to delay and bluff for time thinking their side is winning saying we'll answer by 10

Momotaro sez, No! Now! Stop Stalling

and they surrender

eat it frenchmo

the kids in the homeland playing ump and Santa lands on a chalk drawing of America

then we see Mt Fuji i think

the end

that was pretty good

nice action

good heart and wonder

well acted

Momotaro sounds like Goku or Enma Kun

nice music

good 40s style

it warns of the dangers of gaijin and how we gotta work together and keep them out to be safe

like letting feces into open wounds isn't good

nice hope and showing the devolved eurotrash facing em

like how Europe is sissy today and letting gaijin ruin em

I hope some Nippon HERO gives The Japanese a rousing speech like Android 16 and Gohan to get him to man up and end Cell as some people words can't reach, but for fighting gaijin so the Nipponjin stop putting up with em and being polite then return to Bushido and Imperial Values.

but this was pretty cool and well animated

shame anime went cr-ppy with modern stuff

I liked this one and it was a cool hopeful inspiration WW2 film

For Momotaro's Divine Sea Warriors 2 I want modern Japan to be taken over by gaijin and Momotaro returns from being sealed in a magic peach  to lead the people to reclaim their homeland. Also its a 16 bit Srpg like Shining force but Modern Japan and on Snes, Sega Genesis, T16, Atari Jaguar an GBA where you play as a team working for Momotaro taking out gaijin lairs in the slums Japan devolved into.
