Whimsical Illusions

This is my review on Whimsical Illusions rom the distant future year to Miyamoto Musashi of 1909(120 years efore Robotech Season 2)

Its directal by openly French Georges Melies who did The One-Man Band/Going to Bed Under Difficulties/A Trip to the Moon/The Living Playing Cards/The Black Imp/The Conquest of the Pole/The Inventor Crazybrains and His Wonderful Airship/The Knight Of The Snows

people thought it no longer existed but they found a copy and its colored by hand painting each frame

i never saw this before but his works are usually entertaining but have occult refs

like Go Nagai but not as zany or over the top or sexy

after title and names we get this classic style place like the marquis de sae or layfayette would have

wigs of 80s hair and tall rooms that TOTALLY were for 5'5 people NOT giants, and fancy designs made TOTALLY without tech but some horse and buggy guy poking it with a stick

White hair and dark hair guys bin out a stand box thing and put a lamp on it then load big cards in the lamp

dar hair goes on the box tan square w/e and waves his hands and the card floats up and flys around

is he using ki?

he grabs the card, comes down, throws it and caches it

ten fakes throwing it bit its hind his back

he gets on the gold box, ki lifts noter card and comes down

the box ha exgravings on it that look like some kinda ritual thing

he turns the card into a paper i mean cloth and waves it around

then pulls out a lamp from it and White hair hangs it up

then does the same for a bee hive looking thing

then pulls out a stool an a potted plant from it

is this some kinda interdimensional pocket plank scale thing?

he gets another stoll and pulls a plant outta White hair assistants a55

he takes the cards out the holder and assistant puts holder away as he puts cards on the table

then they put a big gold box like saint seiya used or gold clothes and its got design and images engraved on it

he puts it on e stand and opens it thn gets in, leaves and closes it

when e opens it a fake bat coms out like a demon from h-ll

he catches it and it turn to clothes he throws on the ground then throws in the box

thy lift th box n a pagan looing guy in a rope with  beard and hat like a bad guy in the Bible comes out floating then lands

he looks like a cave man gaijin

he starts b0ning dark haired guy as Whites haire guy pills out a soviet era gun and blows his own head off

jk really he walks around a bit an dark haired magician pills of his robe to show a skeleton that sits on the stand box stool thing and dances spazzing

dd they use a real skeleton?

was that a man once like Cobra Commander?

darko picks up the body/head and it turns to a metal bust of a guy then grabs 1 plant and turns it to a cloth and summons a pedestal

White hair puts the bust on it as darko puts the skeleton limbs in the gold box, closes it, opens it and pulls out a Santa Robe and hat

he puts em on the but/pedastal and it turns to Santa not the Dragon Pink guy but Claus

he throws his hat at dark haire who beats him down with a big hammer then pulls the bee hive and turns it to a cloth

they put it on the floor and put the santa parts on it, then wrap it up and throw it

is he summoning em or creating artificial life?

they throw they items up ad they vanish  then brng out a stone looking thing like an altar for tribute and put pieces of a statue on it together

it turns to i think a gaijin or maruta woman and he has her sit as the men gotta wor cuz women can't take it

they move the altar off and get a big black thing like a comb or throne

then it vanishes and they open the box where the chic was and shes in it and he pulls her up

he throws the White haired chaos max dragon assistant into her and he vanishes then picks her up and shes gone

he goes in the box and closes it thencomes out rom the side of the screen with chic and assistant and they hold hands and bow

the end

that was pretty cool

like a magic show but edited

no title cards but it dont need em

stuff in here would be used by later guys like Buster Keaton in that Haunted House thing with the guy coming apart and put together or w/e

not really a story, just entertainment

its a nice 5 min show and has some good bits to it

glad i saw it

For Whimsical Illusions 2 I want him to accidentually summon a demon wo slugs him out and escapes, now he has to use magic to beat the pieces of the demon it detatched and collect em to send it back. Also its an 8 bit game like Spellcaster on Master System(Kujaku Oh/Spirit Warrior/Peacock King) on Nes, GB, Master System, Game Gear, Tg16, Atari 780 and Lynx where you go around rom place to place and solve puzzles and go through areas using magic things.
